Creative Master Manurfacturers in Las Vegas Transformed an Office Space into a Home Wine Cellar
A home wine cellar conversion project in Texas was completed by Custom Wine Cellars Las Vegas and Wine Cellar Specialists. It has attractive wooden wine racks, an elegant wine cellar door, Stonecoat walls and ceiling, and eco-friendly features. We also added a home bar area where the client and his friends could enjoy talking while sipping their favorite wines.
Creative and Experienced Master Manufacturers in Las Vegas Transformed an Office Space into an Awe-Inspiring Home Wine Cellar
A family who loves wine collecting had an office space in their home. They seldom used it, so they decided to convert it into a room where they could keep their wines safe for many years to come. They also wanted to have a wine tasting room adjacent to the wine cellar.
Custom Wine Cellars Las Vegas worked with Wine Cellar Specialists, one of their long-time partners in wine room construction in completing this one-of-a-kind project.
Originally, the room had yellow-green walls, built-in wooden cabinets and shelves, large windows in beige, a double door, and a ceiling fan with light.
A Careful Assessment Helped Us Create a Design Suitable for the Client’s Needs
When you work with a master designer, you can be sure that all of your requirements are met because they always make a careful assessment of your needs before choosing the design and components for your wine room.
There are wine collectors who have a limited budget for their wine room installation project. We recommend modular wine racks or racking kits for them. For homeowners who do not mind spending a bit more for their wine cellar, we recommend customization options.
In this home wine cellar project completed by Custom Wine Cellars Las Vegas and Wine Cellar Specialists in Texas, we incorporated custom features into the design to create an eye-catching wine storage area and tasting room.
Additionally, customizing the wine cellar design allowed the owners to use their personal style and preference when it comes to choosing the bottle configurations and sizes, racking material, type and brand of cooling system, flooring, and lighting system.
The factors that we consider when assessing the client’s needs are:
- The mood that the owners want in their wine cellar
- Existing home decor
- Size of collection
- Size, shape, and location of the wine room
- Budget
Impressive 3-Dimensional Rendering for an Office Space
Before starting a wine cellar construction, we always give our clients the opportunity to visualize their completed wine cellar by creating 3-dimensional drawings. This process also allows the owners to modify design we created before installing the components. This eliminates regrets and prevents a significant expense in the future.
Elevations A (Side Walls) and B (Curved Corners)
The two sidewalls of the wine room were labeled Elevation A. The racking includes individual storage racks at the top and solid diamond bins at the bottom. Elevation B refers to the true-radius curved corner wine racks, which helped create a smooth transition from one wall to another.
We lined the middle section with a high reveal display row. To allow for the LED lighting installation, we added a light valance above the display row.
Elevation C (Back Wall)
Elevation C is the back wall. The center consists of a solid arch and single bottle openings on both sides. The owners have magnum bottles in their collection, so we added a 3-level horizontal wine rack above the solid arch.
Since the family wanted a tabletop in their wine cellar, we added a long one in the middle section of the back wall. It provides space for decanting and serving wine.
The tabletop is called an Infusion style tabletop because it was made from the inner parts of the reclaimed wine barrel. The planks have reddish tones because of the stain infused by the wine once stored in the barrel.
We added six rolling case openings and double deep X bins below the tabletop. These sections are ideal for storing wines in bulk.
Home Bar Area and Wine Tasting Room
Custom Wine Cellars Las Vegas and Wine Cellar Specialist utilized a larger space for the wine tasting room in this home wine cellar. This feature was a great addition to the home because the owners love to entertain guests.
When you enter the gate to the wine tasting room, you will find a small table with chairs where the client and his friends can sip wine. There is a wine barrel table placed in the corner of the room.
We used a Stonecoat material on the walls and ceiling. It is made of crushed limestone from France, which is blown onto the surface, hand carved, and painted. The Stonecoat at the bottom walls was uncut while the top section was intended to look like cut stones.
We added an elegant Nico style chandelier hanging at the center of the home bar area.
Home Bar Features
We placed the home bar furniture on the back wall. We constructed it using Knotty Alder and applied with a stain and lacquer.
Top Section
To maximize the storage capacity of the room, we included solid cabinets at the top section of the home bar furniture. Below them is a lighted cabinet with double glass doors where the owners can highlight some their favorite vintages.
We added a 3-level open shelf on both sides of the lighted cabinet. The two top levels are intended for displaying the client’s wine cellar accessories while the bottom shelf is for storing the wine glasses upside down.
Middle and Bottom Sections
We included two solid cabinets with adjustable shelves at the bottom of the home bar. There is a built-in 3036 Uline refrigerator at the center. We concealed the unit in double glass doors.
Above this section are two drawers where the owners can store wine cellar accessories like decanters, wine glasses, bottle openers, and a lot more. A wine barrel tabletop lines the center of the home bar.
High-Quality Material
All of the wine racks installed in this home wine cellar, built by Custom Wine Cellars Las Vegas and Wine Cellar Specialists, were constructed from All Heart Redwood. This wood species is the finest of its kind.
It has many properties that make it one of the most sought-after types of wood in the construction industry.
- Stable
- Less prone to shrinkage
- has natural wood preservatives that make it durable
- highly resistant to mildew, mold, and insects
Safe and Stylish Custom Wine Cellar Doors
Your door plays a significant role in the overall appearance and safety of your wine cellar. The style and material must be chosen carefully to keep your wines safe while enhancing the aesthetic appeal of your wine room.
There are two doors installed in this wine room. The entry to the wine tasting room is a double wrought iron gate with an eyebrow arch. The door to the wine cellar was framed in Knotty Alder. We used dual paned glass panels at the center. Wine Cellar Specialists supplied the handles and knobs.
We equipped the doors with appropriate sealing components to help maintain a stable environment inside the wine cellar.
