Impress Your Guests by Having Residential Wine Cellars Las Vegas at The Ridges Home
Residential wine cellars Las Vegas can be so much more than just functional and simple wine storage rooms. When designed by experts, they can feature intricate and rich patterns, giving off a luxurious and exclusive vibe that matches the glitz and glamour that Las Vegas is known for.
Our custom wine cellar experts were requested to install a contemporary wine cellar for a lovely home in The Ridges, Las Vegas. We aimed to incorporate modern design while maintaining the home’s interior, warmth, hospitality, and glow. To achieve this, we proposed modern home wine cellars with a more contemporary style, blending traditional and modern elements.
Our Custom Wine Cellars Las Vegas team got thrilled to take on the project and create truly unique modern residential wine cellars!
Elevating the Home at The Ridges with Residential Wine Cellars Las Vegas
This contemporary residential wine cellar in The Ridges, Las Vegas, creates a serene and inviting atmosphere. This style can make you feel at home and ease when reaching for a bottle of wine. The wine cellars are conveniently located between the family room and the formal dining area, making them a great spot to access wine for any occasion.
The small room was previously a powder room with a sliding door tucked under the stairs, resulting in an irregular ceiling and shape. Using traditional design in a relatively compact space could make it feel smaller and more cramped. On the other hand, the clean lines, surfaces, and patterns of modern design can help preserve the space’s size or even make it feel bigger.
Impressive Features of this Black-Framed Glass Wine Cellar Door
These lovely residential wine cellars Las Vegas feature a single glass door with black metal framing that welcomes guests. The dual-paned glass panel consists of two panels with a spacer, typically argon gas, to enhance insulation.
The door has a 24-inch metal handle for easy gripping. For security, it has a manual lock and key system and a separate magnetic lock to ensure the door is tightly closed when not in use.
Eco-friendly and Upgraded Flooring
Some renovators add more insulation than replacing the wine cellar flooring during the renovation. In our case, we changed the wood shade for the floor to set our wine cellar apart. We repurposed the wine barrels, particularly the staves, by flattening and resurfacing them to line the floor, adding extra character to the room.
Stylish Approach to Wine Racking Design
This unique wine room under the stairs has five walls. To maximize the small space, we installed custom wine racks on all sides, each with a unique twist. We also used a combination of different types of racks made of wood or metal to add variety to the display. Wooden racks are not limited to traditional wine cellars; they also look great in modern ones. We installed four wooden wine racks in this room, each on one wall.
Unique Tequila Wall for Residential Wine Cellars Las Vegas
As you enter the modern wine cellar, you will notice the “tequila wall” on your left. This section is dedicated to tequila and features a custom-made white oak wine rack.
The tequila wall is not your typical shelf—it includes unconventional individual shelves and a middle section with a custom-built acrylic LED panel to illuminate the bottles from below.
To enhance the shelf’s appearance, we also created channels for LED ribbon lights by cutting about ½ inches into the wood, which beautifully accentuates the wood’s rich color.
The Main Wine Wall and Tools Rack
Adjacent to the tequila wall in these modern wine cellars stands the principal wine wall, featuring four rows slightly tilted to elegantly display the wine bottles. The top section of the rack is designed for crate storage of various sizes and shapes, currently accommodating wine bottles stored upright. The bottom section offers deep horizontal storage spaces for storing bottles with the cork facing forward.
Near the main wine wall, a half-wall-height wooden rack is designed to hold decanters and glass stemware. Moreover, generous counter space is provided for the owners to confidently and comfortably pour a glass of wine. Like all the other wooden racks in this cellar, the tools rack is also made from the finest lacquer-polished white rifted oak.
Opposite the tool racks, you will find our custom-made wine rack, which also serves as a protective cover for the cooling unit. This rack is strategically positioned directly beneath the staircase, resulting in a slightly shorter height than the other wooden wine racks.
It proudly exhibits four rows of deep horizontal racks, expertly storing wine bottles with the cork facing forward. Beneath these rows, you will find a wooden louvered grill, facilitating easy passage of cool air from the refrigeration unit.
LED Lights Subtle Glow for these Modern Home Wine Cellars
We meticulously installed 17 rows of VintageView’s Vino Rails to create an impressive metal wine cellar display at The Ridges, Las Vegas home. These rows are elegantly positioned a few inches before a pristine white stone wall, forming four columns grouped by twos.
The metal racks are securely attached to metal posts that are expertly fixed onto the floor and ceiling at the ends, ensuring stability and a seamless aesthetic. To enhance the ambiance and add a personal touch, we tastefully incorporated cool-toned LED lights at the back of the already exudes a breathtaking allure when viewed from the outside through the glass door.
Metal Racks on the Ceiling?
Check out this unique feature you rarely see in traditional wine cellars—ceiling racks! We added tile work on the ceiling to complement the modern interior design, including the area directly beneath the stairs. We decided to take it up by displaying some bottles, so we installed individual metal bottle holders on the tiles!
Advanced Split-Type Cooling Units for Residential Wine Cellars Las Vegas
We installed a ductless split-type cooling system in our small wine cellar because there wasn’t much wall space. We installed the US Cellars Systems‘ RM4600 wine cellar cooling unit, which connects the condenser to the evaporator via a coil.
The coil runs up to the attic, where we positioned the condensing unit. With the cellar’s insulation and this powerful cooling unit working together, we expect to maintain high-quality and fresh wines.
